Terribly upset. Was insulted by a volunteer guide.
Loved the outside of the building. Was the only visitor on Wednesday 19 Feb at 10.30. There were 3 volunteer guides. One blonde lady guide was very welcoming. The older male and an older female guide, however, decided to insult me. They told me I should leave my young female cockerpoo unattended outside. She was with my husband, who was staying with her and missing the visit. I explained that I could no longer leave my dog unattended than a parent could leave their toddler. They are both far too vulnerable and dependent. The male volunteer insisted loudly that he didn’t value dogs and he had a right to his opinion!
Really?
I was supposed to be the welcome guest. I was so upset, that I left.

Great place to visit while in Beverley . Hosts some excellent events . Been to Xmas tree festival , luxmurallis might show and abba concert . Nice to wander round too when no events on . Nice gift shop etc . Free admission but good to give donation if you can

Tremendous structure. Very welcoming people giving information and direction. The tours look very interesting including the tower.

Beautiful building with some wonderful stained glass windows. Very friendly and knowledgeable personnel. We were made very welcome. There is no admission charge, but donations are encouraged.
